Bio
Little was known of Mrs. Rachel Phantomhive in the manga other than she was born of nobility class and she married the Earl Vincent Phantomhive to become Countess Rachel Dalles-Phantomhive. She was raised during the 1880s during the early Victorian times and was educated to that of nobility.

Personality
As described by Angelina Dalles, aka Madame Red, Rachel is a gentle, kind, cheerful, patient, and beautiful woman who never put on airs. She has long strawberry blonde hair and deep blue eyes. But just like her sons, also carried a certain mischief and intelligence that a Victorian lady carries herself in those times.

Rachel cared greatly about her family, as she always worked to cheer Angelina up and include her in the family. She also had a bit of a playful personality, as she once complimented Angelina on her chest size while grabbing her breasts.

Rachel suffered from asthma (which unfortunately Astre, her young son inherited) and was part of the reason Angelina worked to become a doctor. As Angelina stated that she would like to cure her respiratory condition. She had a lot of admirable qualities and was fortunate in marrying a man she loved and having twin sons with him.

History
Rachel was Angelina Dalles' older sister and met Vincent Phantomhive around the same time Angelina did. She fell in love with Vincent, and they later married. Sometime thereafter, she gave birth to Ciel Phantomhive and "Ciel Phantomhive", and Angelina assisted her during the birth.

Due to her asthma and sickliness, Rachel was not able to run around and play with Ciel and Elizabeth Midford much, although she took joy in watching Angelina play with them.

When Angelina lost her husband and child after a horse carriage accident, Rachel frequently visited her at the hospital and tried to cheer her up. She acknowledged the gravity of Angelina's loss and wept for her. When she heard that Angelina would be out of the hospital soon, she insisted that Angelina comes to the Phantomhive Manor for Ciel's birthday party in celebration of her recovery.

However, on Ciel and "Astre's" tenth birthday, Rachel and Vincent were killed by an unknown party and left in the burning estate. The only survivors is Tanaka and her youngest son.

The AU part
Rachel barely know Vincent as a husband and his activities as the Queen's Watchdog. The marriage was harmonious and she found him charming, but secretive. For now they are friends, but it was an arranged marriage and the husband can be distant but fair to her and the children. She know very little of the man, but as the wife and countess of the Phantomhive household, she loyal to her household, she made it her mission to keep the family together, make the house happy, and know him little by little and admire him for his intelligence and kindness.

She's very close to her sons, making sure they have a proper education for the future they always dreamed of, and a life in nobility and a manor their father can provide. For now, she trusted Vincent with her life, considering she is a sickly women and greatly appreciates that he spare expenses in covering her medical needs and costs.

As to why she arrived on Starhue Valley, she was out shopping with her maid in the main city of London for her son's 9th birthday party, and fell asleep on the horse carriage and simply woke up on the bus...
